Howard Hatch

Howard Hatch is a master furniture maker working out of his studio in the City of Portland, Maine. Since graduating from the School for American Craftsmen at Rochester Institute of Technology in 1976, Hatch has been based out of New England, creating elegant sculptured furniture with a combination of fine materials, meticulous craftsmanship and original design.

Howard's designs show a wide range of influences from organic natural forms to the geometric.  The result is unique custom furniture that is as beautiful as it is functional. From the hand selection of rough lumber, to the design, build, and assembly, Howard sees each and every piece through from start to finish. Through this careful process, Howard creates furniture of heirloom quality to be cherished by families for generations.
