2024 - MAINE SEACOAST MISSION (The SUNBEAM)

Each year, as part of our ongoing community effort, The Gallery at Somes Sound raises money for non-profit organizations who align themselves with our mission:  A long-standing commitment to educate, stimulate and encourage others through fine art and visual culture. 

For the 2024 Season, our goal is to raise money for the Maine Seacoast Mission, specifically, the "Sunbeam".  A non-profit organization that offered aid to families and businesses affected by the high tides and flooding during the winter storms of 2024, devasting our Maine Coast to include the offshore Islands and various coastal Villages.

 "The Sunbeam and its crew bring a welcome respite, offering a warm meeting place, the opportunity to visit with crew members familiar with island living, and health care via the ship’s medical staff and state-of-the-art telehealth facilities. About 90% of residents on the outer islands we visit use the boat’s services."  Maine Seacoast Mission

The Gallery’s shows this year will run from June through October and we will donate a portion of the gallery’s commission throughout the summer:
