Caé Braga

Caé Braga was born in Porto Alegre, Brazil in 1961.  At the age of 16 he made a deep connection with horses after spending some time at Fazenda das Pedras, a farm located in Rincao dos Fabricios.  Caé Braga began as an artist, painting horses on canvas, but soon found his passion as a sculptor.  Horses have always been the subject matter which has led him to be one of the finest sculptors in Brazil.

Braga started his journey as a sculptor in the early 80’s studying with mentor and master Vasco Prado and continues making sculptures of horses in varying abstract and traditional shapes to this day.  Braga concentrates on terracotta, bronze and resin as the materials to create his sculptures.  A playful sculpture overflowing with fantasy is the main theme in all Braga’s sculptures.
